Description:
The view looks up Higher Leat, with Weeks Mill to the left, Cricklepit in the middle distance and the city wall at the extreme top right. The group of mills formed the very centre of the Devon woollen industry. The gates in this watercolour were taken down in 1819 to cope with the increase in traffic.
