Surmounted by a wheatsheaf finial, the Grosvenor crest, and have cartouches on either face; inscribed Chester Races 1815 and bears the Grosvenor Coat of Arms. Inscribed: this cup was purchased with seventy pounds won by Sir John Grey Egerton's horse, 'Oulton'. Weight 63 troy oz. Purchased with another cup.

Provenance

The cups were won by two horses owned by Sir John Grey Egerton, Hit and Miss and Oulton, and they must always have been together.
