Obverse - St. Agatha in Indian ink wash and white on greenish prepared paper; Reverse - A female saint in red chalk. Two inscriptions are on the reverse at the top of the sheet. This drawing was donated by Max Rosenheim who presented over 170 works to the British Museum through the Art Fund between 1904 and 1911. Max Rosenheim was a financier and part of the Executive Committee of the Art Fund from its inauguration. He was a well known collector of engravings and medals and also Trustee of the British Museum.
