Title was established when the timekeeper was exported from France to Switzerland in 1996 (legally exported with an export licence granted by France). Previous owners details remain anonymous.

Description:
Thought to be the third ('Clock C') in a group of marine timekeepers produced to overcome the problem of finding longitude at sea. Hours and quarters are struck in passing on two bells, and the balance beats half-seconds. Located in Royal Observatory.
