Presented to Lieutenant-Colonel David Stewart of Garth. Unknown before 1997; Galerie Fischer, Lucerne, Switzerland, 1997; two private collections; vendors.

Description:
The etched blade is of the Highland military style. Incorporated within the hilt are gilt cartouches decorated with Stewart's arms and a badge of the 2nd battalion, 78th Highlanders with which the Lieutenant had fought in 1806.
