Decorative plaster overmantel; the centre being a depiction of 'The Annunciation'. Possibly the work of John Abbott the Elder of Frithelstock.

Provenance

Originally in first floor of 69 High Street, Barnstaple, removed on demolition in early 1960's by a dealer, Mr. Cox. In storage for some years, passed into private hands and was installed in a house in Bristol before acquisition 10 years ago by vendors.
