Carel Weight
Description:
For Weight, fear and confusion are everywhere. He uses disturbed figures in suburban settings painted with a chilling detachment to convey the terrors with which he is haunted. Where the story is available, as here in the graveyard scene in Hamlet, Weight is not concerned with mere representation. While portraying the horror of the scene he uses the narrative to convey Man's ultimate loneliness.
