The dead bride, in a green dress covered with a red robe, reclines on a stretcher covered in black in the centre of a group of figures set in a landscape. Her head rests on a gold and blue cushion. A young man in yellow is bending over to kiss her forehead. A young girl in a dull-purple dress with yellow and red sleeves and black hair is opposite another in white, with long brown hair. Behind her, a monk in brown gown and hood is carrying a long, lit candle with a red and purple escutcheon. In the background we see two children, green fields with dark trees, and low blue hills in the distance.
