A landscape drawing of Vesuvius and Somma from the Mole at Naples. In all probability painted from Nature in the Autumn of 1782 for William Beckford of Fonthill. A E Anderson donated 22 watercolours to the Ashmolean over a period of 16 years through the Art Fund.
