Provenance:
Part of the E E Cook collection, grandson of Thomas Cook of Thomas Cook Travel Agency. Died in 1955 and bequeathed the entire contents of his house at Bath to the National Art Collections Fund.

Description:
Mahogany Pembroke table in Sheraton style; pair of corner cabinets; six mahogany chairs in Hepplewhite style; pair of torchères in Adam style; Georgian bow-fronted chest of drawers; serpentine-fronted chest of drawers; two Georgian wardrobes; pair of Sheraton chairs; pair of Hepplewhite chairs; hexagonal lantern; three Persian rugs and two Persian runners. Three works (Georgian chest of drawers and two Georgian wardrobes) disposed from the collection in 1976 according to 2003 audit.
