Shows the dramatic effect of light was the first of his works to enter the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Danby settled in Exeter 1847. Shows a familiar local scene, the coastline of Starcross with the pumping station tower of Brunel's Atmospheric Railway as seen from mouth of the Exe estuary.
