Description:
This is a copy of earliest known stage in design of Michelangelo's Last Judgement for the Sistine Chapel. Thus provides evidence about a hitherto controversial issue - the size of the altarpiece by Perugino that Michelangelo first intended to retain, together with new information about the iconography. Perhaps by Lombard. Drawing with double arched top. On the verso, other studies for decorative schemes & figure groups in pen, black and red chalk.
