Description:
Painted whilst working with James Guthrie - both employing vigorous handling characteristic of the Dutch Impressionists whose work was popular in Glasgow at that time. There is also a Whistlerian emphasis on tonal qualities and flat design. Inscribed bottom left; 'To my Father, J.Crawhall Jnr'.
