Description:
Bozzetto for altarpiece at the church of Sant' Agnese in Piazza Navona, Rome. Depicts Sant'Emerenziana being stoned to death when praying beside the grave of St Agnes. Marble altar piece was unfinished at artist's death so this maquette provides the original design.
