Panel woven in silk velvet by the process 'Velours Gregoire'. In a glazed gilt frame. Adapted from the picture in the Louvre by Pierre Mignard, 'La Vierge a la Grappe'. Made in Lyons. This work was donated by George Simonson who also presented five gifts of drawings to the British Museum through the Art Fund.
