George Chinnery (1774 - 1852)

Chinnery made a reputation in London as a miniaturist before proceeding in 1802 to India, and thence to Thailand, Cochin China, and China. Apart from one brief visit to England he spent the rest of his life in the East and died in Macao, where he had resided for many years.
