Description:
Point de Venise needlepoint lace collar, Italian, late 17th or early 18th century. Handkerchief with design of a spinster, mourner, man drawing horse and scene in a Turkish garden. Edged with pillow lace of the south eastern Midlands type with Maltese character. Mid 19th century.
