Description:
A jewel with a central panel with figures in high relief representing Joseph in the well, surrounded by his brethren, a subject unrecorded in 16th century European jewellery. The design in translucent enamel on the back is in the style of the French 16th century designer and pattern-maker Etienne Delaune. Now thought to be 19th century.
