Description:
The incident is the dramatic confrontation of an owl and a hare in a timeless Wiltshire landscape. Twilight has been carefully observed and the textured paint and rich but subdued colours reflect the artist's fascination with English painting of the 1930s, especially with Paul and John Nash and Stanley Spencer.
