early 1st Century

A relief representing two freedmen of a Publius Licinius, who from their names, Philonicus and Demetrius, seem to have been Greek. Not a tomb relief, but looks like one. Two styles of portraiture; the older man in the old-fashioned realist Republican style, the younger (who may be his son) in the idealised style of the time of Augustus or Tiberious.
