Description:
Fan leaf depicting the celebration of the twentieth birthday of Le Grand Dauphin. It presents a veritable gallery of portraits of the French Royal family in 1681, many readily identifiable. The detail is remarkable, down to the gentlemens' scarlet high heeled shoes and the seams of the coats outlined with braid or ribbon, to the fringes and other trimmings.
