Description:
This full length gouache portrait of Mrs.Marton, a member of the prominent Lancaster family, was painted shortly after her second marriage, to Rev. Oliver Marton, Vicar of Lancaster. She is portrayed full length, in a style befitting a bride, standing in a landscape wearing a blue hat and dress.
