Provenance:
The cups were won by two horses owned by Sir John Grey Egerton, Hit and Miss" and "Oulton", and they must always have been together."

Description:
Surmounted by a wheatsheaf finial, the Grosvenor crest, and have cartouches on either face; inscribed Chester Races 1814 and bears the Grosvenor Coat of Arms. Weight 64 troy oz. Purchased with another cup.
