Other versions of this subject by Rossetti are in Tate and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Miss Colman's collection also included a charcoal sketch for the pall bearer in 'Dante's Dream' which was also bequeathed to Dundee. This work is part of a collection of 18 works bequeathed to 9 UK museums and galleries by Miss E M Colman through The Art Fund.
