Description:
Picture composed of 32 tiles, painted in high temperature polychrome with plants growing out of pots and birds. One of a pair used to decorate either side of a fireplace. Originally there were probably 40 tiles but now there are 32. The design is English and the source - one of a dozen delftware potteries in Liverpool in the 18th century.
