Description:
Altar Frontal from the Church of St Agnes, Liverpool. Christ in Majesty enthroned with three angels on either side playing medieval musical instruments. They stand on a flowery meadow between palm trees. The ground is of ivory silk satin and the colours of the embroidery are red, yellow, blue and gold. Precious and semi-precious stones are worked in.
