Beilby goblet commemorating the launch of a new ship of the Spedding family involved in the Whitehaven Slave Trade. The goblet of enamelled glass bears on one side the Royal Arms of George III and on the reverse a sailing ship and the inscription: Success to the African trade of Whitehaven.
