Description:
A collection of 12 Greek coins, gold, silver and electrum; duplicates from the bequest to the British Museum. The group of coins were passed to the Fitzwilliam and Ashmolean Museums in accordance with the will of Mrs G.E.M. Lewis. She specified the distribution of duplicates from her husband's collection on the advice of Kenneth Jenkins, former Keeper of the Department of Coins and Medals at the British Museum .
