Cross of the Knight of Santiago, recovered from the wreck-site of the Armada galleass Girona which sank off Lacada Point, Co Antrim, in 1588. Believed to have belonged to the Commander in Chief Don Alonso.

Provenance

Belonged to Don Alonso Martinez de Leiva; found by Salvors of the Galleas Girona (Portrush Sub-Aqua Club). Discovered in 1967.
