This work was presented anonymously through the Art Fund to the British Museum in honour of Antony Griffiths, the museum's Keeper of Prints & Drawings. This engraving by Raimondi is after a design by the Florentine sculptor Baccio Bandinelli, who rose to prominence in Rome after the death of Raphael.
