1911

This triple candelabra was made to celebrate the wedding anniversary of James and Annie Younger of Arnsbrae House, Alloa. James Younger, of the famous brewing family, and Annie, daughter of John Thomson Paton of the Paton wool-spinning dynasty, moved into the newly built Arnsbrae House as soon as they were married. The house may have been built as a wedding present for the couple from either the groom's or bride's family, both of whom by then were very wealthy. The candelabra incorporates a very accurate model of Arnsbrae House designed by Alfred Waterhouse.
