Description:
This works portrays the essence of the mountain landscape of Wales. The exact view depicted in this work may not be pin-pointed, but it captures the air of the Brecon Beacons. Most of Augustus John's paintings in Welsh museum collections are portraits and this work is the first Welsh landscape in the National collection.
