The Dick Institute in Kilmarnock has the largest contemporary gallery space in Scotland south of Glasgow and Edinburgh. The exhibition by influential American contemporary video artist, Bill Viola will include the two works held in ARTIST ROOMS, Catherine’s Room 2001 and Four Hands 2001. The slow and contemplative nature of Viola’s work considers human experience from birth through to death. Deceptively simple in style and widely engaging, Viola’s video works reflect his interest in painting and photography and his pioneering use of time-based media technology.
