The paintings of the American Minimalist, Agnes Martin are the perfect complement to the daylight and contemplative character of Kettle’s Yard.

The original group of paintings, first shown at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in 2009, is being expanded with further paintings and other works.

  • Agnes Martin's work perfectly matches the overall ambience of Kettle's Yard - beautiful and serene.

  • Many thanks to Artists Rooms for this wonderful exhibition of a major artist's work in an ideal setting in Kettle's Yard. I never expected to see a significant representation of Agnes Martin's work outside the USA and this was a great opportunity not to be missed. Artists Rooms is a major initiative and a huge and important benefit to galleries outside the metropolitan centres. Hurrah!
