Unpaid internships are currently offered in our press and marketing departments. These are designed for enthusiastic individuals wishing to take the first step in their career. Emphasis is placed on both parties gaining from the experience. As well as gathering knowledge and skills, interns are expected to contribute to the working of the department they are based in.

The press office is offering a four month internship for a graduate interested in media and communications.
After four months in our dynamic and creative team you will have:
- Experience of working in a busy national media office
- Knowledge of writing press releases and updating web content
- Practice in dealing with journalist enquiries and pitching stories
- An insight into the museum world and arts funding
The role comprises a balance of administrative and creative work.
Internships are unpaid but travel within Zones 1-3 and lunch a £5 daily lunch allowance provided. We’re ideally looking for a full-time candidate, but individual exceptions will be taken into consideration. We’re looking for someone to stay on for the full four month period.
Requirements: excellent writing and proof reading skills, educated to degree level; high attention to detail, media experience, knowledge of/ interest in art history and the museum world a bonus.
