The battle to save the Staffordshire Hoard

The Art Fund

The Staffordshire Hoard was saved after a successful £3.3 million fundraising campaign, led by the Art Fund - the national fundraising charity for works of art. Now secured for Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery and the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke-on Trent, the story of the treasure continues as it goes on a tour of Staffordshire this summer. Items from the Hoard will be on display at Staffordshire Shire Hall (2 July – 23 July), Lichfield Cathedral (29 July – 21 August) and at Tamworth Castle (27 August – 18 September). More information about the tour is available at www.staffordshirehoard.org.uk.
