Apsley House was built 1771-8 and has been the home of the Dukes of Wellington since 1817. The interior contains an outstanding art collection, silk wall hangings, a colossal nude statue of Napoleon by Canova, silver plate, porcelain and lavish gilt decoration. Please note Apsley House is closed to the public on Mondays & Tuesdays.
