Lancaster's oldest town house, the Grade 1 listed Judges' Lodgings dates from the 17th century and is furnished with a collection of 18th- to 20th-century Gillows of Lancaster furniture to recreate period rooms lived in by the judges. There is also a fine display of porcelain, silver and paintings. The second floor houses the Museum of Childhood.
