This magnificent house, with its giant central Rotunda, was begun in 1795 for the forth Earl of Bristol. It displays paintings by Titian, Velázquez and Gainsborough and a magnificent Georgian silver collection. An Italianate garden lies to the south of the house, with 1,800 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown parkland with woodland, vineyard, Georgian summerhouse, church and canal.
